ERP

What is ERP?

An ERP, or enterprise resource planning system, is the software a business uses to run its core operations in one place, typically sales orders, purchasing, stock, invoicing and accounting. Examples used by South African distributors include Sage 200 Evolution, SAP Business One and Syspro.

On this site, ERP is also the umbrella term for accounting and inventory systems that play the same role in smaller businesses, such as Xero or Zoho Inventory.

Why it matters

The ERP is the system of record. Orders, receipts and stock only count once they are in it. Every channel outside it, such as email, WhatsApp or paper, has to be keyed in by someone.

How Weeva handles it

Weeva sits alongside your ERP rather than replacing it. It reads customers, catalogue and open purchase orders from the ERP, and writes sales orders and GRVs (GRNs elsewhere) back by API. Pushes are idempotent, so a retry never creates a duplicate.

Sales Order AutomationCustomer orders in any format, posted to your ERP as clean sales orders.

See Weeva on your own orders.

Pick a time that suits you. Bring three sample orders, including one your team finds awkward, and we'll run them through extraction and catalogue matching live. No obligation.
