Item master

What is item master?

The item master is the list of every product a business buys, stocks or sells, held in its ERP. Each record carries the product's code, description, units of measure, pack sizes, prices and status. Some ERPs call it the stock master or the catalogue.

Every order, receipt and stock movement refers to an item master record, so the quality of the item master sets the ceiling on the accuracy of everything that uses it.

Why it matters

Duplicate codes, wrong units of measure, inconsistent pack sizes and missing prices in the item master surface as order errors, receiving discrepancies and review work. Most order review reasons trace back to the item master.

How Weeva handles it

Stock Data Audit reads your item master and finds duplicate SKUs, unit of measure mismatches, pack size inconsistencies, missing prices and orphaned codes. Each finding becomes a task with an owner. It proposes fixes but does not change data in your ERP.

Stock Data AuditDuplicate SKUs, wrong units of measure and broken pack sizes, found and assigned.
