Order merging

What is order merging?

Order merging is the combining of several messages or documents from the same customer, received within an ordering window, into a single order. It is common in WhatsApp and email ordering, where a customer sends the main order and then adds items minutes or hours later.

Merging keeps one order, one picking slip and one delivery, with a history of which message added which line, so nothing is lost and nothing is sent twice.

Why it matters

Without merging, every late addition becomes a separate order, with extra picking slips, split deliveries and extra invoices. Merging by hand means the desk must remember which stragglers belong to which order before cut-off.

How Weeva handles it

WhatsApp Ordering merges messages from the same customer inside your ordering window into one order. A late addition is merged before cut-off rather than left as a straggler, and the history records each change.

WhatsApp OrderingOrders read straight out of WhatsApp, with amendments, duplicates and merging handled.
